In the Vineyard

I do not own vineyards, yet I work with them, year after year. As a winemaker-merchant, I collaborate with winegrowers—whether they make their own wine or not—prioritizing lasting relationships, closely monitored plots, and fair compensation. Terroir is not limited to ownership: it lives in the soil, in how the vines are tended, and in the continuity of work all the way to the cellar.

Châteaubourg, AOC Saint-Joseph

My partners are committed to at least organic farming, whether certified or not. Pragmatically, I believe this is currently the best balance between grape quality, economic viability, and respect for the soil and biodiversity; vineyard inputs are limited to the strict minimum. Every season, I return to the same vines, observing their evolution, their fatigue, and their energy. This loyalty nourishes my understanding of the living world and guides my choices.

I seek wines that are clean, alive, carrying tension, freshness, and depth—in a word, energy. Being a merchant is not a distance from the land, but another way to be connected to it. My wish is to one day settle as a grower when possible; in the meantime, I pursue this path with patience, commitment, and loyalty to the vines that trust me.
